QUALITY / FHDT
Quality starts with clear requirements.
Define checks before the build. Include quantity, condition and records in the handover.
Revision baseline
Work from the agreed sample, BOM and drawings. Resolve any mismatch before different people begin using different revisions.
Critical checks
Agree product-specific checks and acceptance criteria, distinguishing incoming, in-process and delivery checks. Project requirements determine the checks.
Changes and discrepancies
Record the location, impact and approval of a change. Keep shortages, substitutions and corrections distinct from normal delivery records.
Handover evidence
Reconcile product condition, quantity, accessories and documents as agreed, and identify anything the receiver needs to follow up.
BEFORE THE NEXT STEP
Resolve the open questions
before the next step.
Different scopes need different checks, documentation and delivery arrangements. Keep a separate list of unresolved questions and agree how each will be handled.
