PROJECT APPROACH / FHDT

A clear sequence for every build.

Start with agreed documents, then connect materials, samples, production and delivery.

01

Review documents and scope

Review drawings, the BOM, reference sample, quantity and delivery state. Define customer-supplied materials, sourced parts and the operations in scope.

02

Sample and preparation

Confirm sample differences, critical operations, checks and material readiness. Include fixture, label and packing preparation where required.

03

Build to the agreed revision

Use the agreed revision to plan operations. Resolve shortages, substitutions or design changes through an explicit approval rather than an undocumented update.

04

Reconcile and hand over

Reconcile quantity, check results, accessories and files. For staged deliveries, record each batch’s status and the remaining items separately.

BEFORE THE NEXT STEP

Resolve the open questions
before the next step.

Different scopes need different checks, documentation and delivery arrangements. Keep a separate list of unresolved questions and agree how each will be handled.
