Define where this build starts and ends
State whether the work covers connectors, cable assemblies, selected operations, full integration or packing. Define the incoming state and the expected finished state. The same product name can describe different operations; a clear boundary gives the quotation a shared basis.
Match document revisions to the reference sample
Identify the current BOM, drawing, wiring, assembly and software revisions. List any difference between the sample and the drawing rather than leaving the manufacturer to choose between versions. Open prototype questions can become sample-approval items.
Separate supplied materials, sourcing and setup
Identify who supplies each item, when it will be available and whether alternatives may be used. Include fixtures, tooling, labels or new packaging. Separate sample, first-batch and later quantities so one-off setup is not confused with repeat per-unit work.
State how completion will be judged
Appearance, wiring, function, quantity and packing need corresponding acceptance references. Agree the records to retain, discrepancy handling and any staged delivery before the work begins. Resolve foreseeable questions before receiving the batch.
